If you ever wanted to hear what I sound like chatting in a bar about media diversity, here’s your chance.
I had a wide-ranging discussion with Paul Riismandel on race and public media, podcasting and more for Radio Survivor’s podcast. Radio Survivor is the online publication covering college and community radio, LPFM and public media, with very few peers. I tried to be pretty freewheeling in my conversation with Paul, which was originally based on my critique of public media podcasting called “You’re Not Special” but delved into diversity, imagination, class and independent podcasting. He’s a superb interviewer. I’m not sure I was as superb a guest, but I did my best.
