Wherein I hurt someone’s feelings, unfortunately.
Cara Anderson, Brian Sanchez and I had a conversation on Undecided where I reflected on Hillary Clinton’s strength was in part due to her being seen as an ally of President Obama and the opinion that Sanders isn’t. Following a discussion with another person on the subject, I had to write down a few thoughts on it.
The result? “The Disloyalty of Our Friends” — an examination of why Bernie Sanders has flailed spectacularly among people of color. Spoiler alert: he probably didn’t expect people of color would see his actions in the context of a broader effort to take down Barack Obama. The anti-Obama liberals haven’t either, and you’re seeing the results. Enjoy.
