A new study on diversifying public media should have more attention than anything right now. I remark about why.
The Latino Public Radio Consortium, which worked with KPCC and Radio Bilingue among others, issued its Brown Paper at the start of July. It’s a valuable investigation on one radio station’s successful efforts to grow its Latino audience by aiming for English-language content. Here’s the study if you haven’t read it.
I wrote about the Brown Paper‘s lingering questions, and wondered out loud why public media isn’t talking about this more. Thoughts on Journalism published it, and it’s also available at LPRC’s website.
